Week 8

Hello family,
Its been great hearing from all of you and I am enjoying the pictures.
This is the end of my first full week. It feels pretty awesome to be
honest. It has probably been the most tiring of any week in my life,
but it has been great. This week I had the opportunity to experience a
lot of awesome things. i have also learned a lot of things. First, for
Ryan information there are a ton of stray dogs here. The only things
in the street more than stray dogs is people, cars, and poop from the
stray dogs. Second, people who drive here are in reality very very
crazy. I would send them all to an insane institution but there would
be room for all of them. They don’t fallow lights, street sides, and
don’t care to mush about other cars. To be honest its pretty funny to
watch but terrifying to be in. Third, street Tacos are awesome. They
are delicious and taste like candy. I wish I would have them
everyday… but that would make me sick. Which I have’t been…yet.
As for experience I went to the temple this week for an endowment
session. It was in Spanish so I almost feel asleep. Even worse when we
got to the end with the veil I got and old guy which i could hear and
it was in Spanish! That was fun. Also I had a really weird day this
past Saturday. Me and my companion where going around trying to pick
up our references. However, not one answered there door. We probably
did this for 2 hours. Then this guy randomly came up to use and gave
my companion 50 pesos. We tried to contact him but he said he didn’t
want to hear our mensaje and left on his bike. Another fun experience
happened today when I was playing soccer. I got this perfect pass but
kick the ball to hard and it landed in a house across the street. We
went to the door but the people were not happy with use at all
(because they were really religious and because I almost broke their
window). Entonces, it took use about 15 minutes to get the ball back.
The last interesting thing that happened this week was when Me and my
companion were talking with this one investigator and her grandma came
in and start ranting about the united state. From what I understood
her family went to the united states was deported so they came here to
the Mexico city. She then talked about people trying to get to the
united states by swimming but being deport and about how rich
everybody was up there. To be honest I just nodded my head and hope
she would stop talking. Unfortunately it was probably an hour before
she finished.
Anyway, things are awesome here. i love the food and the people. I
can’t wait until I can fully talk and converse with them.
