Well it hasn’t been a very long time since we last talked so, I really don’t have much to say. The weeks here are moving pretty fast. I hardly remember many of my previous weeks here. Plus, I find it hard to tell them apart. Anyway they are still good weeks, hard but good. We have begun to double our work here. We are constantly trying to find more people to teach and we often find that we miss those that we have at times. However, we are continuously improving.
This week we visited with many people including a man who was having a hard time with alcohol. We were talking to a store owner when he asked us for a pamphlet. He was behind us with his liter bottle of corona and he had tears running down his face. We sat down next to him and asked him how he was and what he wanted to talk to us about. He then began to talk about how he had lost his girlfriend and that his job was going poorly. We asked him why he thought these things had happened and he explained that because of his drinking and drunken tendencies he had lost his girlfriend and his job had begun to deteriorate. My companion began to talk to him about Christ and his love for us. He later went on to give him our number and get his in return. He told him we were here for him and to call us as if he felt the desire to go back to drinking. I then gave him a pamphlet about the plan of salvation and explained that through the plan of our Father in Heaven we all had the opportunity to improve our lives and change. We then hugged him and left. I don’t know if he will call or if he will change. I do know though that because of our Heavenly Father and his plan we have that chance. It isn’t easy at times but through the Son of God our Savior all is possible if we but believe and press forward with faith and hope.
